The Avalon Media System is Northwestern’s online system for managing and providing access to large collections of digital audio and video. It allows anyone with a Northwestern NetID to easily search the University’s archive for images or videos.
Note:This app requires that Yellowdig also be used in the course. Yellowdig Viz provides an instructor and his/her students a useful way of visualizing class interactions in the Yellowdig Discussion Boards.
This tool is used to analyze Canvas discussion forums. It uses Natural Language Processing tools to extract keywords, organizations, place names and persons. It can also compute the reading level required for each post expressed as a grade level.
Blue Jeans is a cloud-based videoconferencing service that supports high-resolution videoconferencing and content sharing on any device. The seamless integration into Canvas provides greater opportunities for classroom collaboration.
