Active Learning Innovation Lab Open Houses

Northwestern Instructors, TAs, and Learning Designers: You are invited to an open house in the Innovation Lab!

Located in University Library room B183, the Innovation Lab is a flexible space with easily moveable furniture that can be infinitely reconfigured; it has several technologies that enable collaboration and thoughtful democratizing of the classroom. We encourage you to try out the room’s equipment and learn some of the ways you might introduce active learning techniques in your teaching and collaboration. Check it out below:

Among other activities, an active learning space such as the Library B183 Innovation Lab is a great location for:

  • graduate study groups,
  • library instruction with a focus on active learning,
  • teaching practice,
  • international collaboration, and
  • technology-enabled brainstorming.

Drop in for 20–30 minutes during one of these open house events to visit with librarians and experts in teaching and classroom technology. See the space and get a hands-on experience with the features of this model active learning and collaborative space.

If you can’t make it, or you’d like to learn more about the Innovation Lab check out this article from earlier this year.
