Creating inclusive learning environments with small groups and teams

How can small groups and teams promote an equitable and inclusive learning environment?

In this interactive session, participants will explore some common challenges associated with small group work, critically examining their own practices and assumptions, and considering how the small group environment can (positively or negatively) impact student learning as well as students’ identity and motivation. Participants will explore key evidence-based strategies for (1) fostering group environments that are inclusive and welcoming and (2) ensuring that student learning is being assessed equitably, with inclusion in mind.
