NSF GRFP Summer Writing Workshop (Day 1)
The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) provides funding towards graduate studies for students in STEM disciplines. The application requires both a research proposal and a personal statement.
This 3-day Workshop will focus on the following:
-General information about the GRFP review process
-Strategies to assist you in introducing yourself to the reviewers
-Techniques to describe your research and extracurricular activities
-Characteristics of successful essays and common pitfalls to avoid

General GRFP information and introduction to the Personal Statement
Friday, July 17 – 4pm to 5:15pm CST
Personal Statement: Intellectual merit and broader impact
Monday, July 20 – 4pm to 5:15pm CST
You must register in order to attend these sessions.
Each workshop will build upon the previous session. Feel free to attend one, two, or all. The purpose of these sessions is to give you a jump start for writing your personal and research statements.
