NSF GRFP Summer Writing Workshop - Research Statement

NSF GRFP Summer Writing Workshop - Research Statement

The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program  (NSFGRFP) provides funding for MS and PhD graduate studies. The application requires both a research proposal and a personal statement.

This 3-day Workshop will focus on the following:
• The GRFP peer review process.
• Strategies for effective personal statement introductions.
• How to describe your research and extracurricular activities to align with GRFP philosophy.
• Elements of successful essays and common pitfalls to avoid.

Each workshop will build upon the previous session. Feel free to attend one, two, or all. The purpose of these sessions is to introduce you to ideas that will assist you as you begin drafting your personal and research statements.
