Scaffolding Inclusive Assessments

 Scaffolding connects course concepts that support student learning. When designing inclusive assessments, instructors should provide meaningful opportunities for students to practice and apply their content knowledge while providing feedback that helps students build skill and knowledge. In this workshop we will discuss approaches to crafting assessments that build upon one another to achieve specific learning goals or objectives. Participants should bring a current assessment plan (i.e. syllabus or sequence of assessments) and will leave with ways to scaffold their students’ learning.
