Prepare for Remote Learning

Participating in remote or hybrid classes may be different from what you are used to experiencing in a face-to-face class environment. 

Group and team projects operate differently in a virtual environment. Consider implementing some of these effective approaches to virtual teamwork to ensure a successful remote team experience.

For Undergraduates

Academic Support and Learning Advancement (ASLA)

Find a learning opportunity that works for you. ALSA offers peer-guided study groups, UPAL, drop-in peer tutoring, and peer academic coaching programs, all running in-person after the Wildcat Wellness period. ASLA has created recommendations for undergraduate students learning remotely.

The Writing Place

The Writing Place is Northwestern’s center for peer writing consultations. Consultations are free and available to anyone in the Northwestern community: undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, or staff.

Before making an appointment, you must register online, using your Northwestern e-mail address. That will become your Writing Place log-in. Please choose a password that is different from your NU computer password.
