The Searle Center for Advancing Learning and Teaching invites all Northwestern instructors to join in a three-week online program to learn more about and reflect on assessment and grading practices, with an emphasis on equitable approaches and alternative methods. Additional information about the goals of the practicum is available on the Searle Center website.
Instructors may particpate in the practicum in one of three iterations throughout the academic year.
- Fall: October 9 - 27, 2023
- Winter: Janury 16 - February 2, 2024
- Spring: April 8 - 26, 2024
As the fourth online practicum in the series since 2020, the format continues with weaving together interactive synchronous sessions, asynchronous learning activities, individual consultations, and opportunities to learn with and from peers in order to create more inclusive learning and teaching environments.
