Across Campus

Whether in the classroom or online, Northwestern offers world-class programs and technologies to liven and enhance the student experience. Here you can find information on active learning classrooms available today and assessment strategies to complement the campus experience.

Active learning classrooms offer a unique teaching and learning environment. An active learning classrooms is a student-centered, technology-rich learning environment that encourages student collaboration and peer teaching with technology that allows them to easily present work for review by peers and instructors.

At Northwestern we are committed to assessing teaching and learning to continuously improve student learning outcomes at the undergraduate and graduate curricular and co-curricular levels. Assessment of digital learning is particularly important in order to build an understanding of which educational technologies and approaches enhance learning and teaching.

Campus Conferences and our ongoing Speaker Series are fantastic opportunities to rub elbows with colleagues across the University on a variety of teaching and learning topics.
