Chicago Humanities Festival at Northwestern

Chicago Humanities Festival at Northwestern

Join us for Morris and Dolores Kohl Kaplan Northwestern Day of the Chicago Humanities Festival!

The full day of programming offers the chance to engage with scholars, artists, architects, thinkers, theologians and policy makers in talks and performances that celebrate what shapes and defines us as individuals, communities and cultures.

The theme for the 2016 Chicago Humanities Festival FallFest is SPEED:

Our society seems to have one setting: faster. Start-ups rise and fall, information is retrieved instantaneously, and replying to texts can’t happen fast enough. We witness social movements that erupt seemingly overnight, and we prepare for the fallout caused by the rapid acceleration of climate change. All the while keeping our eye on what’s “trending.”

Schedule of speakers to be announced in September 2016.
