CSI Series: Sharing and Reusing Research Data

Scholars across different disciplines produce high volumes of data sets. These data sets are valuable not only for their own team research but also can be beneficial for other researchers. As a result, collecting, organizing and accessing research data are very important issues in the new scholarly communication ecosystem. This presentation discusses the importance of sharing scholarly data from several perspectives. This talk illustrates advantages of open data for researchers and scientific communities, and explains barriers for sharing and reusing research data.
