Faculty Roundtable Discussion: Assessing and Improving Teamwork in Group Projects

Date: Tuesday, April 18
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Many instructors use group projects as part of their courses. In this session, we will share strategies designed to support team-based learning, including a tool that we developed to help faculty assess and improve teamwork in group projects. Faculty will share their insights into how they

-Structured teamwork to support learning in their courses;
-Helped students learn from each other about their teamwork;
-Assessed teamwork using a special tool designed at Northwestern and used by other colleges and universities;
-The discussion is intended to help you discover ways to make team-based learning a more significant part of your course.

Led by Adam Goodman, Director, Center for Leadership; Faculty, McCormick School of Engineering & Applied Science.

Co-led by Patricia Sheridan, Visiting Assistant Professor from the Institute for Leadership Education in Engineering at the University of Toronto.

Light refreshments will be provided.
