What are the best ways to foster creativity in students? Do group activities or individual assignments allow for greater creativity? Does creativity look the same in a chemistry course as it does in a history or theater course? Is creativity something that can be assessed?

We will address these and other questions about creativity in this two-part interactive workshop.

In Part I: Fostering Creativity, we will explore definitions of and myths about creativity, as well as its features and benefits. Workshop activities will model potential classroom activities to stimulate creativity (on March 2nd).

In Part II: Assessing Creativity, we will review existing frameworks and instruments used to measure creativity, and will reflect together on the benefits and applications of various approaches to assessing creative products (on March 9th).

Participants are welcome to attend one or both sessions.

*Registration Required. Please register for for one or both dates with this registration: March 2nd and March 9th.
