How do we tell good data stories in a media environment that's fast-paced, mobile, and driven by social media? Hilary Fung will discuss approaches she has used at Quartz and The Huffington Post, with a focus on how graphics and visuals can communicate complex ideas.

Hilary Fung (WCAS Class of 2012) is editor of Atlas, a platform for charts and data, at Quartz. She was previously a visual editor at The Huffington Post, where she used data and visuals to tell news and enterprise stories. Her design and graphics work has also appeared in The Washington Post and The Boston Globe. She studied journalism and economics at Northwestern University, and worked as a student fellow at the Knight Lab.
