Teaching Certificate Program

The Teaching Certificate Program combines seminar, workshops, mentoring, and small-group discussions to prepare participants to teach in their disciplines. Participants analyze and reflect on their disciplinary commitment to teaching by developing a teaching statement and course design project, and discussing topics such as intercultural pedagogy, assessment methods, and evaluation techniques.

Graduate Teaching Mentors

The Graduate Teaching Mentors (GTMs) gain peer mentoring experience through facilitating discussions on learning and teaching and providing valuable feedback and guidance to participants in the Teaching Certificate Program. The program offers significant opportunities to further their pedagogical development. The position carries a $3,000 stipend.
