Creating an effective teaching statement and teaching portfolio can be challenging, but they are increasingly important parts of preparing for the job market. Teaching Portfolio Bootcamp consists of three 3-hour sessions. The first session will focus on developing a teaching statement grounded in your disciplinary practice and that provides a throughline for your portfolio. In the second and third sessions, you will assemble components of your teaching portfolio, create and/or evaluate your overarching argument for teaching effectiveness, and receive peer feedback. At the end of the three-day bootcamp, you should have a teaching portfolio that accurately reflects your teaching goals and motivations, and best communicates and evidences your teaching to prospective employers.
REGISTER HERE by Wednesday, June 14.
