Workshop Description:

Effective classroom instruction is just one part of being an instructor. This workshop will demonstrate ways to break out of the classroom walls and continue learning in new ways. Topics covered will include how to more effectively use office hours, how to utilize campus resources to plan for field trips and off-site learning, and how to incorporate multimedia materials and assignments into your lesson planning and teaching.

Workshop Facilitators:

Margaret Lebron is a sixth-year PhD Candidate in the Performance Studies department and is completing her dissertation on performances of militarization and the representation of veterans’ bodies onstage.

Gabby Garcia is a doctroal candidate in Rhetoric and Public Culture. Her current research interests consist of critical theory, visuality, urban spaces, theories of modernity, Latin America, and transnationalism.
