Introduction to Text Analysis with the HathiTrust Research Center (Online)

Text analysis is the use of computational algorithms on unstructured text. It is used in the humanities and social sciences to extract interesting data from historical resources, such as books, newspapers, plays, or poetry. The HTRC (HathiTrust Research Center) enables beginner-to-advanced text analysis on the HathiTrust Digital Library collection, an online library of over 17 million digitized items. This workshop will focus on the beginner features to get you started on your text analysis research. No prior experience with text analysis is required to attend.

This workshop is in-person and intended for Northwestern University students, staff, and faculty. The workshop will be led by Jamie Carlstone, Authority Metadata Librarian at Northwestern University.
