Northwestern Learning Designer Community

The Northwestern Learning Designer Community's mission is to establish and cultivate a thriving instructional design community that engages in collective inquiry into best practices that reach across all disciplines of the schools and colleges of Northwestern University.

Our strategic goals are to:

  • Improve the service to our instructors and our impact on student learning by sharing best practices and having a forum for open reflection of our work.
  • Advance individual professional development through relevant programming, site visits, shared resources, and structured meetings.
  • Promote and publicize the dynamic work of instructional design practitioners throughout the University.

We hold regular meetings and lunches on both the Chicago and Evanston campuses. Our meetings include opportunities to see what others are working on, tour learning spaces, share best practices, and more!
